No dia 5 de Janeiro de 2024, Sexta-feira, pelas 18:30h, recebemos um pedido de ajuda para uma gaivota que se encontrava em Algés sem conseguir voar ou andar. Recebemos o animal sem saber se o mesmo resistiria, até poder ser entregue no CRAS de Lisboa na Segunda-feira seguinte. Contactado um Biólogo por uma das veterinárias da nossa clínica, seguimos as suas instruções; o animal resistiu e foi entregue no CRAS.
Hoje recebemos a notícia do CRAS:
“Na semana passada, após uma última avaliação global, em que foram verificados todos os parâmetros necessários à sua sobrevivência no habitat natural, verificámos que conseguiu recuperar a plena mobilidade e uma capacidade de voo equilibrado e forte, para além de uma excelente condição física, pelo que foi considerada apta para libertação. Depois de marcada com uma pequena anilha oficial (para que possa ser identificada caso venha a ser observada novamente) e libertada em conjunto com outras na sexta-feira passada junto ao estuário do Tejo.
Vimos assim agradecer mais uma vez a sua intervenção que permitiu a esta gaivota uma segunda oportunidade de retomar o seu lugar na natureza, que não teria sido possível sem este gesto.”
O nosso muito obrigado ao CRAS pelo extraordinário e estimulante trabalho que desenvolvem; cada animal que recuperam e libertam é uma vitória, um contributo para um planeta vivo e equilibrado.
